LIST OF INDOOR RESIDUAL SPRAYS (IRS) THAT MEET WHOPES SPECIFICATIONS FOR USE AGAINST MALARIA VECTOR

The list is an overview of WHOPES-recommended insecticide products for Indoor Residual Spraying. It also lists manufacturers whose technical material has been assessed by WHOPES for its hazard. WHOPES recommendations on use of the product of the
manufacturers listed below are subject to the compliance of the formulated product with all physical and chemical parameters specified in WHO specifications. The list is developed as a tool to assist Principal Recipients (PR) of Global Fund grants in procurement.

Important Note
This List may be used by Principal Recipients of Global Fund grants when considering options with respect to procurement of Indoor Residual Spray. The list aims at providing countries with information that will assist them in their procurement options. Please note that the list is not designed to be a basis for countries to select IRS to
replace any applicable and legally required procurement processes. The Global Fund requires its grant recipients to comply with applicable procurement laws and provides the list only for the identification of products/manufacturers that comply with the Global Fund’s requirements. It is important that the product selected is
compliant with the GF requirement criteria ( refer to GUIDE TO GLOBAL FUND POLICIES ON Procurement and Supply Management: http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/procurement/guide/ page 17 par 7.1) of Health Products. Furthermore, the Principal Recipient should not rely solely on the information provided in the list but should
obtain evidence of products compliance with the GF requirements. For the above reasons, we strongly encourage users to ensure they are using the most recent version on our website when conducting procurement.
The List is not exhaustive . Only products for which The Global Fund received information/confirmation from the manufacturers have been listed. The other products that meet WHOPES specifications will be listed and the list will be updated regularly based on evidence received by the
Global Fund. Interested parties are invited to supply information and evidence of products meeting the requirements on an ongoing basis. For the above reasons, we strongly encourage users to ensure they are using the most recent version on our website when conducting procurement.
