CSPS-P1-10-60 must be installed by a qualified electrician. 4. Ambient operating temperature: 32 to 104 °F (0 to 40 °C), 0 - 90% humidity, non-condensing. 5. This product is intended for indoor use only. No maintenance required. 6. This panel is not compatible with Sivoia QED, Sivoia QS, or any other non-honeycomb devices. Page 2 Cellular Shade Power Panel CSPS-P1-10-6 Installation instructions 2 2.1 Installation English 1. Remove metal outer panel cover and inner plastic line voltage shield. 2. Choose panel mounting location so line voltage wiring is at least 6 ft (1.8 m) from audio or electronic equipment and associated wiring (prevents radio frequency interference). 3. Surface Mount - Use the four holes located on the back of the enclosure in each corner to fasten the CSPS-P1-10-6 to the wall. Use fasteners rated for a 25 lb (11,3 kg) load. • • • • • • Notes: Mount the Power Panel in a position where it can be easily located and accessed if service or troubleshooting is necessary. Mount the CSPS-P1-10-6 in the orientation shown (Mounting Hardware is not provided). Do not mount in any other orientation. For indoor use only. NEMA, Type 1 enclosure, IP20. Install in accordance with all national and local electrical codes. Locate and lock the supply breaker in the OFF position before wiring to the terminal blocks. If the line voltage shield is not securely covering the input wiring, the unit must be accessed by a certified electrician, following local codes. Note: Maximum of 5 CSPS-P1-10-6 power supplies per 15 A Breaker. Note: All Primary wiring must be 16 AWG - 12 AWG copper wire rated for 75 ˚C or better. The CS Power Panel operates at 120-240 V . Use the following instructions to wire line voltage to the unit. 1. 2. 3. 4. Turn power off at circuit breaker. Remove metal outer panel cover. Remove internal plastic line voltage shield. Use 16 AWG to 12 AWG (1,5 mm2 to 4,0 mm2) conductors (in accordance with circuit breaker rating) for the input wiring. 5. Wire the line voltage wires to the terminals labeled H (Hot), N (Neutral) and (Ground). Tighten the terminal blocks to 3.5 - 5 in•lb (0,4 - 0,6 N•m). 6. Reinstall the internal plastic line voltage shield. Page 4 Cellular Shade Power Panel CSPS-P1-10-6 Installation instructions 4 4.1 Secondary Wiring English WARNING SHOCK HAZARD. Risk of serious injury or death. Locate and lock the supply breaker in the OFF position before wiring to the terminal blocks. If the line voltage shield is not securely covering the input wiring, the unit must be accessed by a certified electrician, following local codes. Note: All secondary wiring must be of type CL2, CL2P, CL2R, CL2X or other cable with equivalent or better electrical, mechanical, and flammability ratings in accordance with local and national electric code. Common (Black terminals) +12V (Red terminals) 1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker. 2. Remove as many knockout tabs as neccessary from the bottom of the enclosure and insert 0.75 in (19 mm) strain reliefs (not included) into the open knockout holes. 3. Route the secondary wire through the strain reliefs and to the output terminal blocks. 4. Strip the secondary wire insulation so that 0.25 in (7 mm) of bare wire is exposed. Insert the Common leads into the Black Terminal Blocks and the +12 V leads into the Red Terminal Blocks. Tighten the terminal blocks to 3.5 - 5 in•lb (0,4 - 0,6 N•m). Make sure the wire insluation is not pinched. 5. Place the metal cover securely back onto the enclosure and tighten the screws. 5. Restore power to the panel. 4.2 Wire Length Chart Use this chart to determine the maximum wire length, from panel to shade, based on the gauge of the wire that is used. Distance to shade 16 AWG (1.5 mm2) 18 AWG (1 mm2) 20 AWG (0.5 mm2) 200 ft (60 m) 125 ft (35 m) 75 ft (22 m) Page 5 Cellular Shade Power Panel CSPS-P1-10-6 Installation instructions 5 5.1 Shade Wiring English WARNING SHOCK HAZARD. Risk of serious injury or death. Locate and lock the supply breaker in the OFF position before wiring to the terminal blocks. If the line voltage shield is not securely covering the input wiring, the unit must be accessed by a certified electrician, following local codes. 1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker. 2. Route the secondary wiring to the shade so the connection to the shade wiring can be concealed in the shade headrail. Secondary wiring may be routed into the headrail either by dropping the wire in through the top of the headrail, or drilling a hole in the shade endcap. 3. Identify the shade wiring cable. This is a 15 foot cable attached to the shade headrail. 4. Clip the shade wiring cable so that no more than three feet of the cable is connected to the shade. 5. Remove 0.5 in (13 mm) of the outer insulation from the shade cable to expose the red and black wires inside. 6. Remove 0.25 in (6,3 mm) of the inner insulation from both the red and black wires. 7. Connect the secondary wires to the shade cable using wire connectors. Connect the red shade wire to the +12V lead of the secondary wiring. Connect the black shade wire to the common of the secondary wiring. Note: The shade wiring cable is housed in the left side of the headrail (see diagram below). If you want to connect the secondary wires to the shade cable in the right side of the headrail, you must run the cable out of the headrail, past the shade motor, and then back into the right side of the headrail. Leave at least 0.25 in (6,3 mm) clearance between shade cable and antenna to ensure proper RF perfomance. 8. Replace the metal panel cover and tighten the screws. 9. Restore power to the CS Power Panel and confirm that the shade is energized. Refer to the Insulating Honeycomb Shade Installation and Programming guide for programming and operating instructions.
