Use the D7038 to add four additional notification appliance
circuits (NFPA 72, Class B, Style Y) to a fire alarm control
panel (FACP) or as a power supply for fire-protective
signaling systems. This regulated power supply provides up
to 6 A of power that is used to recharge batteries and
operate both continuous and intermittent alarm loads. This
6 A of power can be distributed through the four Class B,
Style Y circuits that are part of the D7038. The D7038 is UL
Listed for use in commercial fire alarm applications.
Functions
Compatible Control Panel Connections
The D7038 is compatible with any UL Listed control panel
that uses reverse polarity supervised notification outputs
with 12 VDC or 24 VDC regulated outputs. It is also
compatible with the following Bosch Control Panels:

D7022 Two-zone Conventional FACP
D7024 Four-zone Addressable FACP
D8024 and D10024 Analog FACPs
You can connect up to two D7038s to a D7024 Control
Panel. The D7024 can individually control each of the four
NFPA72 Class B, Style Y NAC outputs for each D7038. The
D7024 can also supervise each D7038's power supply.
Status Displays
There are seven local status display LEDs on the D7038's
printed circuit board that monitor the following conditions:
High Voltage, AC OK, Low Battery, Loop Trouble, Groun
Fault, Output Active and NAC Short.
DIP Switch Settings
If connected to the D7024's option bus, the D7038 needs
its own option bus address. Set this address through the
DIP switches.
Determine which inputs control which outputs through the
NAC Input Variable option. Set Input 1 to control all four
NAC outputs or only NAC Outputs 1 and 2. If you choose the
latter, Input 2 controls NAC Outputs 3 and 4.
If the AC voltage falls below 102 V for over 5 sec, a trouble
condition is registered, but not sent to the control panel.
The DIP switch setting for AC Failure Time Delay determines
the time delay of 1, 6, 12, or 24 hrs before sending an AC
failure. The default value is 6 hrs.
For the D7022 conventional panel and the D8024 and
D10024 analog panels, the D7038 connects through a NAC
circuit. No serial bus connection is necessary.
