Testing
Connect the permanent (unswitched) mains supply and check the green indicator lamp is alight, no other lamps should be alight.
Briefly switch on the switched mains supply and check all the normal lamps lighten switch off the switched mains supply. Allow
approximately 15 minutes charge period, then briefly disconnect the unswitched mains supply and check the emergency lamp lights and
the green indicator lamp extinguishes. If any lamp fails to light disconnect the battery and check all connections and the fit of the lamp(s)
in the lampholders. Repeat the initial installation check, if the emergency lamp still fails to light allow the battery to charge fro 24 hours
before re-checking emergency operation.

Safe Operation
1. Check the luminaire and module rating labels fro voltage and frequency before connecting to the electrical supply.
2. Ensure the mains supply is switched off and the battery disconnected when working on this luminaire whether installing, relamping, or
other servicing.
3. Use the correct lamps and battery as indicated.
4. Ensure the fixing is adequate for the luminaire weight involved.

Servicing and Disposal
Servicing and Disposal
1. At commissioning and handling over of installation ensure this instruction leaflet and recommendations for periodic inspection and test
are presented to the authority responsible for the operation and maintenance of the luminaire.
2. Servicing, eg, cleaning and lamp replacement, must only be carried out after the electrical supply has been switched off. Do not
assume a luminaire with lamps not lit is switched off - always check before servicing. Do not touch lamp pins or any terminals without
first disconnectingthe battery.
3. Cleaning should be carried out at regular intervals to ensure dirt does not accumulate to an extent that will impair the thermal safety
of the luminaire. Regular cleaning will also ensure the optical performance of the luminaire is maintained.
4. Failed lamps, starter switches and batteries must be replaced as soon as practicable by components of the same type.
Replace battery when module is unable to achieve the rated duration marked on the module.
5. Batteries must not be disposed of by fire or mutilated in any way.
