GM40 Series (24-Hour/7-Day) Multi-Voltage General Purpose Time Switch The GM40 Multi-Volt Series Time Controls are universal, electromechanical time switches which can be field configured for various power supply voltages. The voltage options include 120VAC, 208/240VAC, and 277VAC, all within the same unit! Selection of the desired supply voltage is easily achieved by selecting the DIP to the corresponding input voltage. The mechanism is mounted in a compact NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure and features a DPDT switching configuration standard (i.e. two normally open and two normally closed contacts). All GM40 models are available as “Mechanism Only” (–M) for installation in other enclosures or control panels or “Bracket Mount” (- B). The GM40 is also available in a NEMA 1 Indoor Metal Enclosure (-IM). APPLICATION: The GM40 is a robust time switch capable of switching high amperage. Disconnect power. 2. Disconnect wiring from existing defrost timer. 3. Remove Paragon mechanism from enclosure. 4. Remove Grasslin DTMV40 printed circuit board from it’s enclosure (gray plastic). 5. If necessary, adjust DIP switches and apply terminal identification label as indicated in the DTMV40 operating instructions. 6. Engage tabs on left side of printed circuit board into enclosure, and swing PCB into place. 7. Apply extra DTMV40 label to existing enclosure door. 8. Reconnect wires to DTMV40. 9. Attach gray faceplate over PCB and secure using existing enclosure locking latch as illustrated. 10.
