features
Multipurpose 36/5AA is a 5” aperture adjustable accent light designed
for use with 5.5 or 12-volt PAR-36 low voltage lamps (50-watt maximum).
Fixture has 0 – 35° angular adjustment with 358° horizontal rotation with
lockable focus. When adjusted for downlighting (0°), lamp is centered
within reflector. Precise reflector design minimizes aperture brightness.
Recess depth is only 8”.
Fixture is suitable for 120 volt service only. The Class H transformer is fused
and has a switch to select either 5.5 or 11.8 volts, to lengthen lamp life.
A ceramic quick-connect socket simplifies lamping.
Multipurpose 36/5AA can be changed in the field to use a PAR-38/3 lamp
(side-prong, 150-watt max) by unplugging the transformer.
The 5” aperture matches that of our 5” compact fluorescent, A, PAR and
HID lamped downlights, wallwashers and accent lights.
Requires ceiling opening of 5 7/8” (149mm) for Overlap or Flush Detail.
Requires ceiling opening of 6 3/16” (157mm) for Trim Flush Detail.
An optional mounting ring is available which allows the use of a PAR-36
lamp with one of a number of Optical Accessories including lenses, a UV
filter and color filters.

All values listed above are manufacturers’ bare lamp data measured at 50% and 10% of maximum candlepower. Vertical spread is listed
first, then horizontal. Operation of these lamps in Multipurpose 36/5AA fixtures will produce beamspreads nearly identical to bare lamp
data. Flood lamp beamspreads, however, will be slightly compresssed.
