Forworktobeconsideredforthisexhibitionitmustmeetthefollowing:
- ItmustnothavebeenpreviouslyexhibitedinanIowaStateFairExhibition.
- Itmusthavebeenexecutedsince2014
- ArtistswholiveinthestateofIowaandhasadisabilitymustcreateit.
PRESENTATIONRULES
Forworktobeexhibitedinmustmeettheserequirements;
- Bereadytodisplaysecurelyandsafely.Asturdywiremustbeattachedtothebackoftheframe
forhanging.Wereservetherighttorefuseworkwhichhasanyofthehangingdevices:
“sawtooth”hangingdevices,cardboardbackingmaterialswith“cuts”forhanging,string,
monofilament,scotchtapeasafinishingmaterial.
- Meetsizelimitationslistedbelow:
o Adulttwo-dimensionalworkmaynotexceed32inchesineitherdirection.
o Adultthree-dimensionalworkmaynotbelargerthan24inchesinanydirection.
o Adultthree-dimensionalworkmustbemountedonasuitablebase,orwiredorhave
otherhangingarrangements.Workmaynotbeexcessivelyheavyorfragile.
o Junior,YouthandChildrenworksmaynotexceed24inchesinanydirection.
- Surfacefinishandprotection;
o Thework,iftwo-dimensionalandapastel,orwatercolor,ordrawingorprintmustbe
framed,coveredwithglassorplexiglassforprotection.Acetateisnotasuitable
protection.
o Allmediamustbedrywhensubmittedforexhibition.

LIABILTY
TheManagement(TheIowaStateFair,artABILITY,etc)willusediligencetoinsurethesafetyofarticles
aftertheirarrivalandplacement,butinnocaseberesponsiblyforanylossordamagethatmayoccur
before,duringoraftertheFAIR.ThisalsoappliestoworkNOTPICKEDUPonMonday,Aug22between
