Main Control Panel The Main Control Panel is located on the front right side as you look at the unit. This panel controls several different options on the unit. These different options are listed at the right. The Auxiliary Power Switch The Auxiliary Power Switch is located on the Main Control Panel. This power switch can only be used if the Main Power Switch is in the On position. The Main Power Switch is located on the left side panel. To power the unit On, hold the Auxiliary Power Switch until the unit activates. To power the unit Off, hold the Auxiliary Power Switch until the light flashes. The Sheet Type Indicator Key The Sheet Type Indicator Key is located on the Main Control Panel. This selects either a roll or piece of material as the loaded medium. This key can only be used before material setup, with the Sheet Load Lever in the unlocked position. The corresponding LED flashes when the material type is selected, then remains lit continuously when setup is complete. The Cartridge Holder Indicator The Cartridge Holder Indicator is located on the Main Control Panel. The panel lights up when a ribbon cartridge is installed. The lights will flash if the cartridge is installed incorrectly or if the ink ribbon is empty. The Busy Indicator The Busy Indicator light is located on the Main Control Panel under the Cartridge Holder Indicator. The Busy Light will flash while the Printer/Cutter is receiving or deleting data. The Color Indicator Light The Color Indicator Light is located on the Main Control Panel under the Cartridge Holder Indicator. This lights up when cartridges for all colors (C M Y K) have been installed and full color printing is possible. It flashes when a ribbon cartridge required for printing is not installed or is empty. The Base Point / Clear Button The Base Point / Clear Button is located on the Main Control Panel. This button sets the current position of the blade to the base point for printing and/or cutting. This button can only be used after material has been loaded. The ribbon compartment door must be in the open position to set the Base Point. Press the Base Point Button to set the starting point for the design. Holding down the button until the Clear Indicator starts to flash will delete the data being received. The Cut Test Key The Cut Test Key is located on the Main Control Panel. This performs a cutting test to verify that the blade force is correct. This key can only be used after material setup has been performed. Press the Cut Test button hand the cutter will cut a circle and square. Make sure that you can weed them cleanly before sending your design to the cutter. The Cursor Keys The Cursor Keys are located at the bottom of the Main Control Panel. These keys control the movement of the Print Head and the Material. The Left and Right Keys move the Print Head to the left and right. The Up and Down Keys move the Material in and out of the unit.
