The ReadyBright™ Power Outage Lighting System by Mr. Beams™ provides safety and
comfort in uncertain situations with battery-operated emergency lights
Thunderstorms, tornados, hurricanes, other natural disasters, even extreme temperatures
can all create power outage situations that can turn a home into an accident waiting to
happen. While commercial buildings often have backup power sources for lighting
systems, most homes do not. The ReadyBright™ Power Outage Lighting System by Mr.
Beams™ is a simple to install and operate, fully customizable emergency lighting
solution for any size home.
The ReadyBright™ Power Outage Lighting System Starter Kit contains a Wireless
Power Outage LED Flashlight & Remote, one Wireless Power Outage Ceiling Light and
one Wireless Power Outage Stair Light. This convenient lighting system can be installed
in minutes. Simply plug the Power Outage LED Flashlight & Remote into any centrally
located outlet. Determine locations within 70 feet of the remote to install the ceiling and
stair lights so they are within range of the remote’s wireless signal. When the power goes
out, the remote will detect the outage and signal the emergency lights to turn on
automatically.
To provide safety lighting throughout a home, the ReadyBright™ Power Outage Lighting
System is available in expanded packages. An unlimited number of ceiling and/or stair
lights can be added to provide whole house coverage during a power outage. Additional
remotes can also be purchased to create emergency lighting zones on multiple floors.
Fueled by the included rechargeable NiMH 3.6 V 300 mAh battery, the Power Outage
LED Flashlight & Remote provides 10 sq. ft. of light with 20 lumens of brightness. The
10 lumen stair lights are powered by 4 AA Alkaline batteries and also provide 10 sq. ft.
of light coverage. Designed to illuminate a small room, the ceiling light provides 100
lumens of brightness for 200 sq. ft. of coverage using 4 C Alkaline batteries. Batteries for
the lights are not included but the high quality LEDs inside the stair and ceiling lights can
deliver 40 hours of light on one set of batteries.
For increased energy savings the lights are also designed to turn off after 30 minutes to
preserve battery life if no one is home during the outage. To keep lights illuminated
without interruption, simply remove the remote from the wall outlet until the power is
restored. Alternatively, the remote can be left in the wall and when the lights turn off the
power button on the remote can be pressed to switch on the lights.
