Commonwealth Instrumentality and is exempt from all taxes. Do not include tax on your bid price. ESU reserves the right to
reject any and all bids, to waive technical defects, and to accept or reject any part of any bid if, in its judgment, the best interests
of the Commonwealth are served. Unless time is limited by bidder, bid will remain firm for forty-five days. Quote your earliest
delivery, this may be a determining factor in award. If bidding an "equal" complete specifications and documentation must be

RTU-located on the roof of East Stroudsburg University's Innovation Center is in need of
repairs. The roll-out switches trip when the gas burners are fired. It has been determined that the
burner tubes have cracked. The Carrier communication board for the unit is also not operating
and requires replacement.
Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence,
materials, tools and equipment, and performing all work necessary to complete all repairs, setup
and equipment installation at the satisfaction of, and subject to approval of East Stroudsburg
University.
Provide pricing for the following:
Replacement of the burner tubes and associated parts.
Remove and dispose of three (3) old heat exchangers.
Install three (3) new Carrier heat exchangers.
Replace five (5) Carrier limits. Start and check the operation of the unit in heat.
Provide and install new Communication board.
University to provide crane service for one day. Contractor is responsible to co-ordinate with
University for materials to be delivered and lifted to and removed from roof during the time
crane is on site.
Please bid one lump sum for entire job.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
[9/2009 Format]
The contractor shall maintain at its expense, for the duration of the contract, the following types of insurance,
and at least the minimum limits of liability shall be as described below. All polices shall be issued by
insurance companies known to be financially sound and authorized to conduct such business under the laws of
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Coverage shall be maintained without interruption from the date of
commencement of the work until the date of final payment:
a. Worker's Compensation insurance providing the payment of benefits to employees of the
contractor for work under the contract. Employer's liability insurance.
b. Broad Form Comprehensive Liability Insurance providing coverage on a personal injury
basis with a combined single limit of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, Bodily Injury
Liability and Property Damage Liability.
c. Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance providing coverage with a combined
single limit of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, Bodily Injury Liability and Property
Damage Liability.
The Certificate of Insurance must be submitted to contractor's Point of Contact at the University AND
the Purchasing Department PRIOR to beginning any work on campus. The Contractor shall not
perform work on campus unless the Certificates of Insurance have been delivered to both specified
departments.
The Certificate of Insurance must also state the following:
1. East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania The State System of Higher Education, and the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are named as additional insureds.
2. A 30 day notice of cancellation or non-renewal shall be mailed to attn. Purchasing Office, East
Stroudsburg University, 200 Prospect Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
