HEREFORD ISD UPDATES
• The Hereford ISD Board of Trustees approved a budget that included raises
in the salary system for the 2013-14 school year. However there will be other
factors that influence the bottom line including TRS withholdings and
insurance costs.
• Employee Salary Data Sheets are being distributed. The data already exists
on your Employee Access screen in Skyward. The paper data sheet needs to
be signed and returned to your campus or department secretary.
• If you are a contributing member of the Teacher Retirement System - The
enrollment period for opting in/or out of TRS Active Care has passed. Your
health insurance options are locked in for the plan year unless you have a
change of family status (change in marital status, change in dependent
children, change in employment status, or other qualified change according to
IRS Code Section 125).
• TEKS Resouce System is the Hereford ISD Curriculum Management System
(approved by the board in agreement with SB 1447). The CSCOPE board
reconsituted as TEKS Resouce System and can be accessed through the
Hereford ISD website under the “for HISD Staff” icon.
• The use of Hereford ISD Web Mail is to promote the vision of Hereford ISD
and manage the work of the district. Please do not use the district web mail
for advertising or sending messages that do not pertain to the district. The
district system and your e-mail conversations have the potential for monitoring
if there is ever a question or concern by the district.
Homecoming Tailgate
The City of Hereford is
hosting a lunch time tailgate
event at the County
Courthouse on Friday,
September 27 (11:00-1:30)
to celebrate Hereford High
School (HISD) Homecoming.
Local businesses (mostly our
local banks) will be grilling
burgers and other treats for
members of our community.
Hereford HS Cheerleaders
and Varsity Football team
members will also be on hand
to infuse the atmosphere with
HERD SPIRIT and
WHITEFACE PRIDE.

Community Homecoming
Tailgate Lunch.
• Remember to utilize the districts “work-order” system for technology and
maintenance support. Your campus or department secretary can assist you.
