GENERAL TOPIC

The Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Energy Conversion belongs to a series of Conferences that have established a major energy platform in the region. The

Conference will focus on topics of interest to the Electric Power Industry. It intends to address the significant technological changes in all areas of the electric energy including business, products, equipment and methods.

MedPower 2016 Conference will provide power engineers and technicians, academicians and people from industry with opportunities to be updated on current academic and industry developments, achievements and trends through presentations and open discussions. Presentations will emphasise the regional needs and peculiarities of environmental aspects associated with electric power generation, transmission, energy conversion, distribution systems and modern control. Recent experience in the topics of competitive electric energy market and privatisation of European Utilities will be addressed.

This Conference will significantly benefit engineers and technicians through state-of-the-art presentations by major equipment suppliers, researchers and specialists, invited speakers and discussions by international participants.

All papers submitted will be subjected to a review process and, if approved, will be published in the IET Digital Library and INSPEC and also the IEEE Explore.

Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission,

Distribution and Energy Conversion will be Belgrade, beautiful capital city of Serbia and a third largest city in South-eastern Europe. The city lies upon the confluence of the Sava and Danube, the aquatic routes connecting the countries of Western and Middle Europe to the countries of the South-eastern and Eastern Europe. Due to its position it was rightfully named “Gates of the Balkans” and the “Doors of Middle Europe”, and faced with turbulent historical events and the tragic destructions. Just over

1,700,000 people live in it and as more than 40% of its population is between ages of 15 and 44 it is known as the city of youth. Beside some of the most popular sites such are the majestic Kalemegdan fortress, bohemian Skadarlia district and charming Zemun, Belgrade boasts 42 museums, 67 art galleries and 26 theaters and a vibrant café culture and lively nightlife in over 150 floating restaurants along the banks of the Sava and Danube. Conference in order to have their papers published in the Proceedings of MedPower 2016 (at least one author for each paper).
