1. Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and Dietetic Internship
(DI) are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of The Academy of Nutrition and
Dietetics.
2. Graduates qualify for admission to AND accredited dietetic internships to become Registered Dietitians.
3. Ours is the only Food Science program offered at a California
State University campus in Northern California that is approved by the Institute of Food Technologists.
4. The NuFS/SJSU Dietetic Internship is open only to students with a Nutritional Science degree from SJSU (BS or MS) and other course and grade requirements.
5. Every March, the department co-sponsors a National
Nutrition Month event with the SJSU Student Health Center as well as Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
