Memorandum of Understanding: You understand that in order to receive emergency funding from the
Veterans Resource Center you must furnish the following: 1.) A clear reason why there is a need of
emergency funding by completely filling out this application. 2) Physical evidence of the need i.e. a past
due bill, notice from a landlord, police report or stolen property, etc… 3.) Evidence that you are enrolled
in at least 6 units for the current term.
I understand that applying for this emergency fund does not require repayment, however if it is deemed
by Veterans’ Resource Center staff that a fraudulent claim was made, repayment will be required, and
you will not be eligible for any future emergency fund monies. The maximum amount of funding is
$300.00, unless extraordinary circumstances are noted, and approval is achieved unanimously by VRC
staff. Checks will not be made out to the student, rather to the debtor, so a correct name, address, and
phone number will be necessary to completely process the request. Checks are cut on Wednesday of
each week, however it is necessary to receive several signatures of approval before the request can be
processed, thus payment may be delayed. All applications will be approved by majority vote of VRC staff,
and decisions are final.
