The Bagwell College of Education presented changes to the MAT with concentrations in Secondary Math
and Secondary Science. They also presented a new concentration in Middle Grades Math/Science. 36
new course proposals were also presented.
Corrie Davis made a motion to accept the entire package on first read and waive the second read. David
Evans seconded the motion. All members present voted to approve.
There were three items to follow-up and/or clean-up before the proposals went to catalog:
1. Make sure all courses had the 3-0-3 (or appropriate) hours listed as well as OK to repeat the
course
2. The term “disabilities” should be “exceptionalities” on all proposals
3. The term “clinical experience” should be “yearlong clinical experience” on all proposals
