Title & Abstract (Up to 250 words): Concisely sums up the
project explaining the test or invention, the outcome(s), and
conclusions.
Research Question/Problem/Hypothesis: The question your
research seeks to answer in statement form. It should be stated
in a way that is testable/measureable.
Introduction and References: Appropriate background
information that includes why this question was chosen and your
literature search.
Research Design: Thorough description of how data was
collected. Should be detailed enough that someone else could
replicate your project. Implications on reliability of results are
included and explained.
Data Analysis: Appropriate mathematical/statistical techniques
are applied and are accurate. Appropriate and accurate units
and graphs/tables are used. Describes the data, trends in the
data. May have comments on reasons for trends or patterns.
Conclusion: Based on analysis of the data as applied
specifically to your research question/problem/hypothesis.
Thorough interpretation of your results is included. What did your
experiment show? What does the data infer about your problem?
Include suggestions for future work. Discuss possible limitations
of your research project.
Project Board and Oral Presentation: Neat; attractive; correct
grammar, language and spelling; thorough verbal presentation
and able to answer questions about the project and results.
