NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Associated Student Government of Santiago Canyon College will hold a meeting on the designated date,
time, and location stated above. Those wishing to address the Council shall be recognized during public forum to express their concern. All
Associated Student Government Council meetings are held in locations that are wheelchair accessible. Other disability accommodations will be

Orrillo moves to approve the minutes, Seconded by Pierot (15-0-0)
V. Public Forum
Rebolledo- President of the Conscious Law Club, the newsletter is being finalized and will be sent out
tomorrow. There are two events coming up. The first on October 27, 2015 which will be a Coffee
Informative which will inform students on campus, and the second on November 5, 2015 which will be
called Refugee vs Immigrant.
Jones- President of the Basketball Club, the gym has been approved for Thursdays 12:00pm-1:30pm.

Gaughan moves to appoint Jennifer Puchana as Senator of International Affairs, Seconded by Rebolledo

7.01 Approval of Funds for the GOP Debate – Nathan Underwood (Discussion/ Action)
Underwood- Needs $300 for the GOP Debate which will go to providing refreshments, snacks, guest
speakers, and printing flyers. Spence moves to approve $300 from Account 6650 Programs and Activities under
line item Presidential Elections for the GOP Debate (19-0-0)
7.02 SSCCC and Region – Matthew Carter (Discussion/ Action)
7.03 Resolution III: Senator of Facilities – Tamara Nabulsi (Discussion/ Action)
Williams moves to approve Resolution III: Senator of Facilities, Seconded by Hatch (19-0-0)
7.04 Resolution IV: Senator of Equity – Seham Nabilsi (Discussion/ Action)
Barajas read Resolution IV: Senator of Equity. Will require second reading.
7.05 Approval of Funds for Halloween Event – Sydney Gaughan (Discussion/ Action)
Spence moves to approve up to $600 from Account 6650 Programs and Activities under line item
Halloween Activity to purchase candy for the Halloween event, Seconded by Nawabi (19-0-0)
7.06 Agenda Line Item Request Form – Kevin Pham (Discussion)
If you need a line item on the agenda there will be a form in the ASG room, which needs to be filled out and
submitted into Dice’s box by Monday at 3:30pm. You will have to wait until the next week to get it on the
agenda if you do not do so.
VIII. Reports
8.01 Inter-Club Council Report
Padilla- Inter-Club Council President, Speech and Debate Club won lots of awards in various categories at their
competition. There is a lot of involvement in clubs at the moment, and many clubs need Executive positions
filled. The Second Annual Walk for the Cure Event will be this month. Remodeling T-107 is the Inter-Club
Council’s current project. There will be a Thanksgiving Potluck.
8.02 Senator Reports
Barajas- Senator of Advocacy, Wellness Wednesdays are currently going on. October 7, 2015 will be the next
workshop which will be about relationships from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
Hernandez- Senator of Educational Planning, the Biology Program is going very well. They are working on a
new curriculum and hiring someone to help work on blackboard. Biology has a grant that will hopefully help
fund the program. There is a rapid class growth in Biology at the moment, and in Political Science they are
working on ways to make Student Learning Outcomes easier for students.
8.03 Director Reports
Gagnon- Director At-Large, had a meeting with Arlene to talk about an electronic drive around January.
Orrillo- Director of Athletics, on October 13, 2015 at 3:00pm there will be a men’s soccer game at home against
Santa Ana.
Carr- Director of Green Operations, meetings started last Thursday at 5:35pm. Planning a beach cleanup on
October 16, 2015 at 1:00pm and there will be with Ultimate Frisbee afterwards.
Cho- Director of Health and Wellness, Wednesday October 7, 2015 will be a blood drive from 10:00am4:15pm. If you donated blood last week you will not be able to donate again this next week.
8.04 Executive Reports
Pham- Was talking with the Dean of Student Support Services who said that there will be a more effective
system for financial aid.
Gaughan- The Back to the Future Movie Night is postponed indefinitely due to an earthquake drill. We no
longer have a Director of Fundraising. Got a new PR Director. Still having a Halloween movie night Thursday
October 27, 2015 and setup will begin at 6:00pm. The movie will either be Annabelle or The Nightmare Before
Christmas. Working on the reverse trick or treating doors.
Spence- Should have the budget next week. Please turn in receipts within 10 days after your event, and turn in
check requests in advance.
Underwood- GOP Debate will be October 29, 2015 at 6:30pm in the auditorium. Posters have been made for the
GOP Debate. There is training going on with Loretta Jordan tomorrow at 10:30am in room E-107. SLI has
requested about four individuals tomorrow at 9:30am in front of the E Building to help bring supplies in.

8.07 Delegate Report
Pham- The delegate attends meetings with our region, and Friday November 13- Sunday November 15, 2015
will be the days of the General Assembly in San Jose where members of ASG can attend and learn more about
region and the organization. Expenses will be covered for members of ASG.
8.08 Ad-hoc Reports
Underwood- Obama’s College Promise Ad-Hoc Committee will be meeting tomorrow at 12:00pm in room A205.
Gaughan- Banquet Ad-Hoc meetings will be at 11:00am in room A-2015. If you have any ideas or questions
about banquet contact Gaughan.
Spence moves to suspend the orders of the day to move back to line item 6.01 Appointment of New Members,
Seconded by Gaughan (19-0-0)
IX. Events and Reminders
9.01 Student Service Sticker
If you have not gotten your student service sticker, please be sure to do so ASAP. If you have not had it checked
by Underwood please do so.
9.02 Athletics Turn to Clean Room
Please clean up after yourselves in the ASG room, and this week it is the Athletics Committee’s turn to
clean the room.
9.03 Group Pictures
Next week will be formal attire, and group pictures will be taken in the Vasquez Promenade.
9.04 November Movie Night
Will eventually have a November Movie Night which will most likely be the third Thursday of
November.
9.05 Reverse Trick-or-Treating
Reverse Trick-or-Treating will be October 29, 2015 all day. It is encouraged that you dress up and participate in
the event. We need volunteers to check the apartment’s decorations to decide who will win the prize.
X. Public Forum
Soberano- President of Ultimate Frisbee, there will be a game after council today across the street.
Gaughan- Don’t eat people’s food in the fridge, and please write your name on your food if you put it in the
fridge.
