Nabulsi- Academic Senate is planning on redesigning the Orange Education Center for those who haven’t
completed a high school education. They were forced to relocate classes due to violations in their building.
Returned from a TAG Meeting at the District, and they went over the Illution portal app. The app was well liked
and effective. They are hoping to have students look over the demo in the summer.
Wagstaff- had their meeting yesterday and will be voting whether or not they approve of a resolution
8.03 Director Reports
Hatch- The Toy Drive end tomorrow so donate toys! Disappointed that the school newspaper wasn’t able to be
approved. Great job to those who worked on it.
Carr-Tomorrow Green ops is having a campus cleanup from 1:00pm-3:00pm. There will be food afterwards!
This Tuesday he had meetings to discuss three upcoming events. There will be an electronics drive this January
30, 2016 from 11:00am-2:00pm. If you have electronics it is important you do not throw them away because it
is very bad for the environment. There will be shirts donated to this event. Earth Day on April 21, 2016 will
have food vendors. On April 23, 2015 there will be a second Electronic drive.
8.04 Executive Reports
Gaughan- Apologized for the abruptness of her resignation. Thanked everyone in council. Will still be here until
December 10, 2015. Winterfest is this Tuesday and there will be a crafts fair. Just received an order of 25 boxes
of donuts and coffee. All proceeds will go to the Trevor Project. Tomorrow will be the last banquet Committee
chaired by Gaughan in H-206. If you would like to chair the committee please see Gaughan. Director meetings
will be taking place in H-216.
Nawabi- Introduced himself to the Council.

new projects next semester as a whole and grow closer as a family. There is an open door policy, so if you have
any ideas, comments, or concerns please let him know. Will be starting training of the new Executive Board
members tomorrow.
8.05 Office of Student Life and Leadership Report
Going to have materials available if you would like to sign up for SLI. It will be held from March 4-28, 2016. It
is a State certified program. ICC paperwork is available online if anyone wants to start a club next semester.
Will be here from December 14-18, 2015 and all throughout January 2016.
8.06 Board of Trustee Liaison Report
Congratulations to the new members elected today. For those who are transferring the UCs decided to extend
the deadline for community college students to January 4, 2016. This next year UCs will be accepting 5,000
more students from California. By 2020 there will be an additional 5,000 Californian students. If you want more
information you can visit the Transfer Center. Next Monday will be a Board of Trustee Meeting at the District
Office at 4:30pm. Met with several people from the Admissions office and IT and discussed what would need to
be changed to the website to change the format of paying for the Student life and Leadership Fee. Decided to
not include some students in the automatic charge, such as students who are at the training academy and are off
campus. At Orange Coast College they have a machine that allows students to check out books, and she will be
researching how much that would cost because it would be very helpful for students. It would allow students to
scan the book they wanted to check out onto their laptops. Good luck with finals everyone!
