We took our first spelling pretest. Your child will be tested on the ten spelling words again on Friday. Please practice the words this week. I sent home a spelling tic-tac-toe homework sheet. As your child completes an activity please put an x on the sheet. By Friday your child should have completed three activities. Return the tic-tac-toe page signed by you on Friday to show that your child completed his/her spelling homework for the week. I do not need to see their work, only the signed tic-tac-toe page. Each week your child will bring home reading homework. This may include word lines, sentences, stories on paper and stories in their anthology book as well as other books. Please have your child read these to you for fluency practice. The anthology book must be returned the following day as we use them in class. Weekly news letters will be on my web page. Go to the Peebles web page and click on building staff. Click on Julie Pistella. There will be links on the left hand side of the page. Click on weekly news letters.
