Chattahoochee Chorus Contract Fall 2015
Welcome to the Chattahoochee Champion Chorus! We have so many fun events already planned
for this year! Fall semester chorus will meet in the mornings from 7:10am – 7:45am and will
be open to 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students. 3rd grade students will meet on Monday mornings
and 4th & 5th grade students will meet on Thursday mornings. Our rehearsal time is very
short and therefore very valuable! Chorus students should arrive at school early on chorus
days in order for them to be on time to chorus for each rehearsal. Students must stop by their
classroom first to drop off their book-bags and check in with their teacher (and also eat
breakfast in the cafeteria if they normally do so!) and then come directly to the music room.
*As a member of the Chattahoochee Chorus your responsibilities will be to:
 Attend and be on time for all rehearsals and concerts (unless absent from school on
the day of chorus rehearsal due to illness – in this case please email about absence.)
 Do quality work during rehearsals and in other academic areas
 Sign and return this contract
*Repeated absences/tardiness and/or behavior/academic problems in the homeroom or any
other classroom may cause dismissal from chorus.

 Fri, Aug 28 Gwinnett Braves Game on Chattahoochee Elementary Night!
*See attached flyer. We will singing “Take Me out to the Ballgame” @ 7th Inning
 Sat, Dec 5 7:30pm/Sun, Dec 6 3:00pm Performances w/ the N. GA Chamber Symphony
 Fri, Dec 11th 7:35pm Sing for Santa Night at the Gwinnett Gladiators Hockey Game
 Tue, Dec 15 6:30pm/Fri, Dec 18 In-School Musical Performance of “The Jungle Book”
Extra morning/afternoon rehearsals will be requested as we come closer to performances!
We may also perform at the County Office and/or a local nursing home in December.
*All students are invited to sing in chorus; actors/actresses/soloists will audition – more info. later
Performance dress is blue jeans and our chorus polo shirt. We will be using the same blue
polo shirts from the last year. The cost is $20. *This cost covers the shirt and helps to supply our
chorus with new music for performances, props, audio equipment, etc needed to put on our
programs each year! *Students may not receive a polo shirt if contract is not returned by August 14!
CHORUS STARTS MONDAY, August 10, 2015 / THURSDAY, August 13, 2015!
