Describe how your SMART Goal will be monitored throughout the year:


K-3 teachers will utilize running records to monitor students’ fluency and comprehension throughout the year.
In addition, teachers will analyze data gathered through Fast Bridge progress monitoring and skills checklists. If
students are not making adequate progress, grade level teams and support staff will collaborate to determine
research-based strategies to be implemented in the classroom and/or during the RTI block to improve
performance.
4th-5th grade teachers will monitor their students’ progress in math through students’ performance on the
county summative assessments and classroom formative assessments, and progress monitoring through Fast
Bridge or skills checklists. In addition, teachers will utilize the results from the February 2016 Interim
Assessments to determine who may need further remediation before the Georgia Milestones Assessment in
April. If students are not making adequate progress, grade level teams and support staff will collaborate to
determine research-based strategies to be implemented in the classroom and/or during the RTI block to
improve performance. Additionally, these students will be recommended for Instructional Extension to provide
further remediation.
