The teachers have agreed to learn about and implement 5 distinct differentiation practices as are appropriate for their subject and classes throughout the course of the school year. If teachers, focus on implementing effective differentiation strategies, particularly in regards to meeting individual student needs, student achievement should improve throughout the year as measured through data teams. If students’ needs and learning gaps are addressed appropriately through differentiated practices, their engagement and achievement should improve. Timeline Grade level departments meet every other week and share differentiated practices that they are using. The teachers will share what they believe to be both effective and ineffective practices. Differentiation practices will be viewed in walkthroughs throughout the year and discussed at length in Midyear TKES conferences in December 2015.
