TKES
Teachers will receive in-depth professional
learning on the Teacher Keys Effectiveness
System (TKES). Through this process, they will
acquire an in-depth understanding of the 10 TAPS
standards. Teachers will be given continual
feedback throughout the year on their
performance as related to these standards, which
will directly impact student performance and
increase achievement.
If teachers implement
highly effective
instructional practices,
then SGPs (Student
Growth Percentiles) will
reflect increased student
achievement.
Ongoing
throughout the
2013-2014 school
year.

Common Core Implementation
All grade levels have defined specific annual goals
to increase student achievement in English
Language Arts through the implementation of
Common Core standards. Specifically, teachers
will increase the utilization of non-fiction text
across all content areas, emphasize content area
writing, and incorporate performance based
assessments.
If teachers integrate ELA
standards across all
content areas, then
student achievement in all
areas will increase
accordingly.
Ongoing
throughout the
2013-2014 school
year.
