The North Star Newspaper & Pawprint
Magazine Advertising Opportunities
The North Star newspaper and Pawprint magazine are student-published monthly on a rotating basis. Both publications
are 100% student produced under the supervision of a teacher/advisor. They are distributed to all students (1300+) and
faculty members (100+) of the high school as well as sent in limited quantities to all schools and offices in the North
Allegheny School District. Subscriptions are also sold, giving parents and other members of the community the
opportunity to receive the publications. The North Star and The Pawprint are also posted online one week after print
publication. In addition, the website nanorthstar.org is updated almost daily with fresh news from NASH. Advertising is
available on all three platforms. Finally, the publications have teamed with NATV, the district’s cable channel to offer
advertising opportunities for the daily NASH AM Announcements show, NA Today. With the potential for cross-platform
advertising, these four platforms offer a wide range of options for local businesses to advertise.

NA Today Sponsorship
The Advanced TV class at NASH produces a daily 16-minute news show, NA Today, which includes the daily announcements for the
high school as well as news, sports & other student-produced pieces. The show is broadcast live to all students and faculty members
each morning. Sponsorship of individual shows is available. The sponsor’s logo will be shown at the beginning of the show with music
and a voice-over stating the show is “brought to you by…” the sponsor as well as the sponsor’s slogan or tagline.
Cost: $10/episode
Please note: NA Today is broadcast on tape delay on the school district’s cable channel, NATV. Due to regulations regarding
educational access channels, commercial content is not permitted to be broadcast. However, the sponsor’s information will be
broadcast within the high school.
All sponsors of NA Today will be furnished with a DVD of their sponsored episode(s).
All advertisers in the North Star and Pawprint will be furnished with a copy of the issue(s) in which their advertisement runs.
We are 100% reliant on community sponsorship and advertising for publication and printing.
