Review of Advisory Council Purpose
Review of Goals:
o Personal/Social Counseling Goal: The School Counselors will help each student
explore and investigate his/her passion.
o Academic Counseling Goal: The School Counselors will educate all students and
parents about the realities of post-secondary options linking to individual academic
achievement.
o Career Counseling Goal: The Advisory Council will develop a professional network to
provide shadowing opportunities and internships for all 11th grade students.
Update on Counseling Program
Break out Groups – Review brainstorming ideas from last meeting and create “To-Do List” for ideas for
implementation.
