 When the man rolled over my foot with his cart at the grocery store, he gave me PROFUSE apologies for injuring me.

Example Sentence:

17. JOVIAL: adj. good-humored; jolly

“He [Mr. Summers] was a round-faced, JOVIAL man and he ran the

 coal business, and people were sorry for him, because he had no children and his wife was a scold” (Jackson 309).

The mood was JOVIAL on the last day of school, with excited talk of freedom heard throughout the halls.

Example Sentence:

18. PARAPHERNALIA: n, equipment or apparatus used in or necessary for a particular activity

 “The original paraphernalia for the lottery had been lost long ago, and the black box now resting on the stool has been put into use even before Old Man Warner, the oldest man in town, was born” (Jackson

309).
