opportunity to go to a
training on digital
storytelling. I learned some
really fun and exciting
programs to use in our
classroom. One of the
programs is called
chatterkid. This is a free
app that you can put on
your phone or ipad.
Words Their Way
On Tuesday we will start a
new phonics program called
Words Their Way. All first
graders will be placed in
flexible groups and will be
working on different word
families and strategies.
Students will bring home their
word sorts each week to
practice. Look in the
homework packet for
activities to do at home with
the words.

Book Orders
Book orders will come
home this coming week. If
you would like to order
books you can do so
online with our class code,
found on the front of the
order form, or send in the
order form. Every order
helps us get new books for
our classroom! All orders
are due on Oct. 16.
