DBMS Installation
Target Date: As soon as possible.
The purpose of this assignment is to install a relational database management system on your PC or any
other computer system that you have access to for the purposes of the class project. You may use any
relational system you want, except MS Access, and as long as it allows you to 1) create and execute a DDL
file, 2) issue commands to load data, and 3) execute SQL statements from a command-line interface, or that
are contained in a text file. For a variety of reasons it is recommended that you make use of one of the
mainstream relational systems such as Oracle, Sybase, Informix, DB-2, SQL Server, or MySQL.
