INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING FORM CPDC 2-24
This form is the Adjustment of Group II Equipment Funding Report for self-instruction computer
workstations in computer laboratories in which the standard Capital Outlay Program (COP) formula cost per
assignable square foot (ASF) has been used. The form contains the necessary steps to calculate the Group II
Adjustment amounts for general and advanced workstations costs by subtracting from the project total Group
II budget the standard Capital Outlay Program (COP) formula-generated dollar costs per ASF associated with
the self-instruction laboratories and adding student access workstation formula cost adjustments.

Enter the number of general and advanced student access workstations in the introductory paragraph.
Item 1:
Enter the Equipment Price Index [EPI] and the Total Project Group II Equipment Cost for the
project using standard formula cost indices from Form CPDC 2-7.
Item 2:
Enter the ASF (assignable square feet) for all self-instruction computer laboratory space for the
student access workstations identified for the project.
Item 3:
Enter the standard Group II formula generated cost per ASF. The standard cost is then calculated
by multiplying the total ASF in Item 2 by the cost/ASF as provided.
Item 4:
Enter the Adjusted Formula Based Request by subtracting Item 3 from Item 1.
Item 5:
Enter the Workstation Costs for the General and Advanced student access workstations. Compute
the costs using the standard student access workstation formula amounts: (a) General = $4,740 and
(b) Advanced = $14,255. The Subtotal, Workstation Costs is the sum of items 5(a) + 5(b).
Item 6:
Enter the Special Classroom costs for Distance Learning and Smart Classrooms. Compute the costs
using the standard amounts (a) Distance Learning $150,000 per classroom (b) Smart Classroom
$50,000 per classroom.
Item 7:
Enter the Amended Group II Equipment Funding request amount. The Subtotal is the sum of
items 4 + 5 .
Item 8:
The cost for Ordering, Accounting, Inventorying, and Placement of Equipment is calculated at 3%
and built-in to the formula.
Item 9:
Enter the TOTAL GROUP II EQUIPMENT FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT
