Summary of the seminar (200-300 Words) highlighting the seminar contents:
Dr.Brooks spoke to the students explaining the basic function of F-1 car clutch plate
development with carbon material with his step by step research approach to validate the new product
using test rig, surface morphology by SEM&XRD, thermal imaging camera and thermo-mechanically
coupled FEM.
He advised the Mechanical and Aerospace students to concentrate on area such as fabrication,
materials, nanotechnology, deposition methods, heat transfer, fluid flow which can help them take up
careers in automotive field.
He urged the students and the faculties to pay a visit to his research lab and explained about
detailed admission for higher studies at Leeds University.
