The proposed change is the addition of one new course (GEO 3XX3 Biogeography) to the topical core list. 9. Please provide a concise, yet comprehensive, statement that explains the reasons for requesting the change. Include documentation or assessment information supporting the specific request (if possible). The new course was added to strengthen the offerings in physical geography. Two faculty members in the department have specialties in Biogeography but until now there has not been a course that has offered advanced instruction in this subfield of physical geography.
