Assignment week 8 Descriptive paragraph 04/04/11 Svetlana Arauz Composition 2 Nature at The Risacua River The Risacua River is a polluted place; however, it still conserves the splendor of its natural beauty. As you stand on the bridge that is above the river, you can contemplate the rich variety of wild animals and tropical plants that live there. Some good examples of animals, plants and trees are humming birds, chichicas, which are tropical plants with colorful flowers, and also several giant oak trees growing on the riverbank. On the left side of the bridge, there is a wobbly cement stairway, which leads you to the riverbank. As soon as you get into the riverbank and you look to your right hand, the first thing you can notice is a bunch of colorful chichicas growing in one single line. If you follow that line up to the end and then look down to the ground, you can see two hidden waterholes watering the beautiful chichicas that grow in this fantastic place. You might like to get into the turbulent waters of the Risacua River. If you do this, you may feel the slippery leaves rubbing your toes and then experience the harmless bites of the newborn tadpoles and silvery sardines that hide below the leaves. As you can see, even after all the contamination provoked by the humans, the Risacua River hides many beautiful things waiting to be discovered.
