B.S. BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

ADMISSION TO THE CAMERON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:
To be formally admitted to the Bachelor of Science with a major in business administration program in the
Cameron School of Business, a student must meet each of the following admission requirements:
1. Completion of a minimum of 12 credit hours at UNCW in courses in the Cameron School of Business and/or
ENG 101, 201, (ENG 103 may be substituted for ENG 101 and ENG 201); MAT 151 or 161.
2. Completion of at least 30 credit hours.
3. Completion of each of the following courses with at least a “C-“: ENG 101, 201, (ENG 103 may be
substituted for ENG 101 and ENG 201); MAT 151 or 161; QMM 280; ACG 201, ACGL 201; ECN 221, 222
and MIS 213.
4. An overall grade point average of at least 2.70 on a 4.00 scale for all course work attempted at UNCW.
5. Completion of the Cameron School of Business admission orientation and application.
GRADUATION FROM UNCW IN THE POM OPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of at least 124 semester hours with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or better in both the
UNCW and CSB GPAs.
No grade below a C- in your option will be accepted towards graduation.

Minimum course requirements listed below for CSB. Credit hours must total 45.
1) Complete the following 8 credit hours (5 credit hours if student completes ENG 103):
 Two courses in English composition (ENG 101, 201, or 103).
 One course in Foundation of Physical Activity (PED 101).
2) Complete a total of 39 credit hours to include the following:
 Four approved courses in Humanities area, one each from Literature, History, Philosophy and Language.
 One approved course in Fine Arts.
 Approved courses on Mathematics (MAT 111, 115 or/and MAT 151 or 161).
 One Life Science and one Physical Science (one must be a lab course).
 Principles of Economics (Micro & Macro) (ECN 221 & 222).
