Partnership Approach “Partnership” is the perfect word to describe how Hylant Group works with our clients. We view ourselves as an extension of your staff – not just another vendor. Our approach is simple – whatever the client needs, we will find a way to get it done. That theme echoes throughout our organization from your direct client team to our IT/Systems staff, all the way up to our management team. The client always comes first! One of the ways we demonstrate our partnership is by designing an interdisciplinary team of professionals. We take a holistic approach to the client by establishing a strategic team that can evaluate, not only core group benefits (e.g. medical, dental, group life, etc.), but also executive benefits, retirement and pension programs, worker’s compensation, and employer and fiduciary liability concerns (e.g. employment practice liability, fiduciary liability, directors & officers programs, and employee benefits liability). This combined team of professionals provides diverse viewpoints 2 that enable us to assess the impact of changes in one area on other aspects of the business. Ultimately, the efficiencies we achieve through our approach may not only be measured in hard dollar cost savings, but extraordinary time savings as well. Hylant Group, Inc. Methodology Some consultants merely recommend the “flavor of the month” without truly evaluating whether that idea is suitable for your organization. Is a full replacement CDHP program the right fit for an organization that is predominately manufacturing and has a large population of union employees? If so, how do you educate the employees and implement the program with minimal disruption or disgruntled employees? If not, what are other viable alternatives for cost containment? At Hylant, we don’t take a one size fits all approach! Our methodology for making recommendations begins with a thorough analysis of your current program – benefit and contribution structure, corporate environment (e.g. union vs. non-union, salaried vs. hourly), business plan and goals and objectives. Once we gain this understanding, we work in partnership with you to provide recommendations that provide balance between, what are often, competing objectives – decrease costs while maintaining high-quality benefits. Of equal importance is the commitment and service you receive after the recommendations are provided. We see our relationship as a process, not a project. We do not believe in providing a summary report and recommendations and then leaving your staff to figure out how to implement. We are there from start to finish. During each phase, we are there with you to monitor the progress, anticipate potential problem areas, and address unanticipated snags. 3
