Nom_____________________ Journal d’activités - 2015 Comment réussir à l’examen AP? By reading a LOT! The AP exam is very challenging. If you are considering taking the AP test, the single most important factor that helps students pass the exam is reading thoroughly to acquire vocabulary and grasp contextual meaning. You will receive the score that you earn (it is directly related to the amount of your effort expended all year.) It is equally important to keep” training your ear”, so listening activities are paramount and must be a large part of your summer preparation! In addition, speaking and writing activities can be done on some of the resource sites (see attached). Please note the theme areas on which your new 2012 AP French exam will be based: Global Challenges, Science & Technology, Contemporary Life, Personal and Public Identities, Family and Communities, and Beauty & Aesthetics. It would be very wise to use these as guides when doing any preparatory work this summer! Please feel free to e-mail me any interesting sites, activities, info, etc. that you encounter…so I can forward them to the group. shelleymesser@gmail.com or smesser@fcusd.org To best prepare for this course you will be expected to log at least 20 minutes 3-5x week of French-related activities which should ideally include reading a novel in French during the summer (see Mme for check-out if interested). Other French-related activities may include: watching French movies, watching American movies with the French language/ sub-titles turned on, “surfing” and reading various French websites, doing available web activities on-line, joining the Sacramento chapter of the Alliance Française for conversation practice, peer group get-togethers, travel to francophone regions, etc. All daily logs should be turned in when school begins in the fall.
