You Think That’s Funny? Presentation
Task: In pairs, students will present a comedy clip that they feel is funny. Consider your type of
humor… do you like slapstick? Stand-up jokes? Sight gags? Puns or play on words? You will introduce
the clip by sharing basic background information and which elements of comedy are being used in the
clip. Clips can be from film, television, cartoon, or a comic strip.
Clips MUST be appropriate for a school setting. Do not show clips that include foul language, racist,
sexist, homophobic or otherwise offensive language or content. No nudity or “rated-R” content. If you are
unsure, ASK FIRST!
Guidelines:



Select clip based on quality. Clear picture and audio are essential.
Be able to access clip online to show using a computer.
Create a slideshow of introduction with the following:
o Title of clip
o Performer names
o Date (if known)
o Name of show or film it came from
o Brief description of elements of comedy used
o Link or embed the clip into a slide
