Problem: • There’s never enough time • Good time management would solve this, but – Efficient time management takes time we tend to not want to spend. – Time managing isn’t something everyone’s good at. Solution: Assistant Time Manager (a•tom) – A calendar with a brain Main System 1. The user enters the things they need and/or want to do. a. Atom starts with an educated guess as to how long each activity takes. b. Optionally, the user adds the best time(s) to do each aactivity. c. Also optional (but highly encouraged) deadlines can be added to most activities. Main System 2. Atom suggests a schedule based on the information given and its own built in “knowledge” of good time management. a) The schedule remains fully changeable unless the user marks something immobile. b) Atom tries to learn the user’s scheduling patterns so to make better suggestions in the future. Main System 3. Atom helps the user stick to the schedule a) Rings reminders just ahead of time b) Suggests ways to de-stress when time allows c) Continues accepting new things into the schedule but warns against unneeded over scheduling. Possible Additions • With GPS, Atom can know where the user is in relation to their appointments (and how far apart the places themselves are). • Atom could serve as a concierge, making reservations as appointments are made. • Multiple Atoms could link to compare schedules and suggest compatible meeting times Questions?
