Certificated Personnel OP 4111.03 ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS, CERTIFICATED The County Office application form contributes to sound decision-making and conforms with local, state and federal laws and regulations. The information supplied by the candidate on the application form allows the screening committee to determine if an applicant has the required education, experience, certificates and credential(s) required for the position. Purpose: To request and collect relevant information which identifies those candidates best qualified to fill an open position. Timeline: The timeline for filing applications varies and is specified in the job announcement. Procedures: 1. Employees refer all requests for job applications or information about position openings to the Human Resources Department. 2. Human Resources Department responds to inquiries by sending position announcements and appropriate application forms. 3. Human Resources Department records the name of each person requesting an application for a certificated position and the date the application packet is mailed on the Application Completion Verification form (Form # PRS 4110.04). 4. Applicants submit supplemental materials specified in the position announcement with the application. Suggested supplements may include a letter of interest, list of references, credentials, certificates and any specified material in the job announcement. 5. Human Resources Department makes provisions to accept completed applications, date-stamps applications and all supplemental items, and records receipt next to applicant’s name on the Application Completion Verification form. Note: After the closing date, only those applications that are complete are screened for the required measurable qualifications. A complete application is one that is signed and dated by applicant and has all supplemental documents that are specified in the position announcement.
