6. Is there anything else you would like us to know about your judging preferences? Please keep in mind:
(1) judges will be organized into teams who will work together to determine a team score for each project;
and (2), as a multidisciplinary event intended for generalist audiences, students are evaluated more on their
ability to articulate the value and importance of their work. We leave truly “expert” assessments of student
projects to their faculty mentors and those they encounter at peer-reviewed, discipline-specific conferences.
7. WHEN would you be available to serve as a judge for EXPO? Judging will take place on WEDNESDAY,
APRIL 13th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Judges will be organized into judging teams who will evaluate 3-4 student
presentations, with time remaining to compare notes and determine team scores. We will only assign you to
one 1.5 to 2 hour judging time, but knowing of your full availability provides flexibility in organizing teams.)
