International Conference on Global Competitiveness and
Taiwan's Financial Sector Reforms
The Ambassador Hotel
Taipei, Taiwan
September 27 and 28, 2007
This two-day event will bring together international institutional investors, global experts,
top-level Taiwan government regulators and policy makers, and representatives of the
Taiwanese business and academic communities. The conference will provide an
opportunity for discussion of consolidation and privatization pressures on Taiwan's
financial sector, as well as related corporate governance and consumer finance
reforms. The conference will focus on international competitiveness - and evaluate
what can and cannot be done within Taiwan's local market and cultural context - to
provide better access to international capital for Taiwan's financial sector and other
companies.
Yuanta Financial Holdings, Taiwan, and the University of Wisconsin (U.S.A.) Law School
are co-sponsoring the event as a follow up to the 2006 Conference on Corporate
Governance and Taiwan's Capital Markets.
