International Conference on Global Competitiveness and Taiwan's Financial Sector Reforms The Ambassador Hotel Taipei, Taiwan September 27 and 28, 2007 This two-day event will bring together international institutional investors, global experts, top-level Taiwan government regulators and policy makers, and representatives of the Taiwanese business and academic communities. The conference will provide an opportunity for discussion of consolidation and privatization pressures on Taiwan's financial sector, as well as related corporate governance and consumer finance reforms. The conference will focus on international competitiveness - and evaluate what can and cannot be done within Taiwan's local market and cultural context - to provide better access to international capital for Taiwan's financial sector and other companies. Yuanta Financial Holdings, Taiwan, and the University of Wisconsin (U.S.A.) Law School are co-sponsoring the event as a follow up to the 2006 Conference on Corporate Governance and Taiwan's Capital Markets.
