Centrifuge Type Amend the following according to the manufacture’s instruction manual Use all rotor components during each run, as shown on right. Load samples into 500 mL centrifuge bottles and fasten the lids. Place each filled bottle inside a rotor canister. Securely attach a canister closure to each canister. — NEVER load samples directly into a canister! Correctly align the rotor pins with the drive pins as shown on the centrifuge, and mount the rotor body onto the drive spindle. Insert canisters in the cavities of the rotor body. — NEVER place a centrifuge bottle directly into a rotor cavity! If running less than a full load, arrange filled canisters symmetrically to balance the load (see below). Opposing bottles must be filled to the same level with liquid of the same density. Weigh your bottles to ensure they are balanced correctly! Place the lid on top of the rotor and securely fasten the tie-down knob.
