Recommendation:
Policy review can usefully be informed by academic policy experts with dual responsibility
for assessment who are uniquely positioned to critique the institutional environment and
culture
Suggested interview themes when consulting with policy experts within tertiary institutions:
1. What is your area of expertise?
2. Could you describe the qualities of good policy and policy review process?
3. What considerations do you recommend for the review of university assessment policy?
4. What are the implications of poor review?
5. In your role as an academic and as chair of Teaching and Learning Committee (or other
