Call for Abstracts
The First Annual
Student World Water Forum
University of Nevada, Reno - November 18-19, 2004
UNR graduate and undergraduate students, ALL DISCIPLINES, are invited to
present water-related topics of interest and/or research. Presentations of local,
national, and international water issues are welcome. The format will consist of a
10-minute oral presentation.
General topics include but are not limited to:






Water markets and pricing
Privatization of urban water systems
Privatization of irrigation and rural
water systems
Water, hygiene and health issues
Mobilizing and organizing water users
Water infrastructure and technology
change
 Social and environmental effects
of lake and/or river decline
 Social and environmental effects
of groundwater decline
 Integrated water resources
management
 Water, war, and conflict resolution
