future period of time and what ways to achieve those goals. The basics of planning can help
managers be prepared and organized to handle work loads such as hiring and firing employees.

can be beneficial is on managerial performance. It is shown from studies in which stress planning
is being taken into consideration can help employees earn high performance ratings from
supervisors. Planning also has a positive impact on the quality of work production. Studies

organization, such as increase in sales and goals.
Planning can provide a means of motivation to the personnel involved from all areas of
the organization in the management of an organization. This can lead to a benefit in an
organization, the production of “involvement.” Involvement in the planning sense is the process
which aids in the enhancement of the overall understanding of the organization’s direction. As an
example through planning, the sales department can understand the organizational objectives of
the productions department. Involvement in this case shows that people in the organization are
working together, where the plan becomes “our” plan rather than “their” plan.
