STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
This business I am about to start will be purely sole proprietorship. I am the
only one who is asking the bank for loan. I need approximately $ 10.000.000 to
operate my business. The actual money that I am asking for is to purchase the
equipments, supplies, utilities that are related to my business. Furthermore, the
funds will be used to pay the employees. The funds will benefit for opening
employments, helping create the business system, and supporting the business
to be running smoothly. This loan makes good business sense because I have
observed some organizations that succeed because of investment. They should
be no doubt to fail. My experience tells me that when I have been working for
companies, they do the same way as I am going to do. So, I will follow the
same methods to achieve the successful business in the future. The funds that I
loan will be repaid by installment every month.

*Description of business:
Orange Julius is the new excitement place which is located in downtown
Manhattan which also means in the heart of city where people passing by every
time. This lounge is open 24 hours 7 days to entertain young and old who need
enjoyable spot. The customers will be spoiled by a lot of good services unlike any
other places have ever created. Some of services we provide are pool with 9-feet
and 7-feet tables, 24 VIP and 22 president suite family karaoke rooms, convenient
bar that serves all sorts of alcoholic drinks.
Orange Julius café is dedicated to supporting the essential earthly concepts
of organic food production, small farms, sustainable agriculture, recycling and
composting. We cook with fresh produce delivered every day, and choose organic
whenever possible. We believe that a gourmet dining experience can be created out
of vegetarian healthy and environmentally friendly food. We are proud that our
café is completely free of genetically modified food.
One of the great things about Orange Julius café and restaurant is that the
menu is constantly based upon seasonality of produce and chef Juli with world
cuisines. If you’re a regular, you know that there are a few standards that chef Juli
tends to rotate through the menu, but for the most part, you will be delighted to see
all kinds of new dishes each time you come visit our lounge.
The business will be profitable because people need more enjoyable spot to
refresh and release their minds after they are working for hours. They will try
something new in the center of the city. People will taste new environment and
new awesome place with a lot of satisfactions in affordable prices. We will be open
by the first week of January 2007.
*Product and services:
We provide pool with 30 tables that make our guests more convenient. Also,
we have a various kinds of local and international food such as our primary
favorite dishes which are Japanese sushi roll dragon house, Miso served with
ginger ale flavor, orange tempura served with fried shark fin and many more that
you can enjoy with soft piano and live music every night. Our room is decorated
elegantly to make you feel like home. We serve all kinds of alcoholic beverages
(Tequila, Vodka, Martini, Martel, and Jack Daniel served with cocktail). Moreover,
for complete our services, we also have family karaoke rooms which available in
the 3rd floor (24 VIP and 22 president suites rooms) embellished by various kind of
studio’s background each room (classic, vintage, black and white, sunshine, beach,
mountain, etc) depending upon customers’ choices (the prices are different)
MARSHE vineyards winemaker dinner (every Saturday) serves good quality
of wine in a great price.

Orange Julius’ talented pastry Chef, Julius Kwan, creates beautiful and
delicious cakes for every occasion. Weddings, birthdays and celebration dinners
will be enhanced by his made-to-order cakes, which can be enjoyed in our café or
off-site at your events.
The service which is raising stars is our food that we specially serve because
we create them mostly by our secret recipes that others might have not known.
*The market:
Target market: every young and old people are welcomed to our place (no
limitation of ages). Our market is still growing because this is a brand new that we
still need more support and trust from the guests. Our market is also large enough
to be expanded for other goods and services that we are still planning to be sold.
We will attract and increase our market by advertised our place on the radio,
television, mass media, newspapers, magazines, subways and trains. We will post
some street banners strategically. The prices of our services are based upon what
the highest demands are.
*Competition:
We are looking for the place that rarely people who have same businesses as
us are placed. So, we don’t have any direct competitors nearby. However, the
indirect competitors that are located nearest are some Japanese restaurants and bars.
On the other hand, they just sell one specific service unlike our place that includes
everything in one building. I have learned from their operations about the
advertising they made. I took some method they used like posting some ads on the
internet, giving some discounts when they just open the business on the first month.
They quite succeed for getting some advantages by running their methods. So, that
is why I was learning for.
*Location of business:
We are located at downtown Manhattan that will be unreachable by any
transportation. It is a desirable area because it is placed near offices, companies,
residential that people look for some entertainment to release their boredom and
exhaustion when they have no choice to go. We need some large-space land with at
least 4 floors building to fit our services, and commodious parking spots which
available for large numbers of vehicles.
*Management:
The background business I have ever experienced helps me create my new
business on my own. I have been working for companies that run their business as
I do in the other states. I think that opening the similar one will benefit my
community in the neighborhood when people expect to get new atmosphere in the
crowded city like New York. I admit that I still have weaknesses in running my
efforts but I will compensate it by giving full of attention to my services to the
public and satisfy society’s needs. My related work experience to this business is
when I worked as a waitress in one of Japanese restaurant in China Town. The
management team that I have already formed is 5 bartenders, 2 sushi chefs, 20
waiters, 15 waitresses, 10 public relations (5 males aged between 20-30 with
minimum 1-year-experience, have min. associate degree, skillful; 5 females aged
between 19-32 with minimum 6-months-experience, good looking, proportional
and decorous), 3 hostess, 3 cashiers, 2 phone girls, 6 cooks, 2 DJs, 5 cleaning
services. Besides the workers, I have organized the manager, controller and
assistant managers who can be reliable. Although all workers have their strength
and weaknesses in their areas, they will be trained personally before doing their
duties so that they will be proficient enough to give the best services. They will be
given job descriptions before starting working for the entire years and the duties
have to be clearly defined so that workers are not going to be messed up by others’
jobs.
*Personnel:
The current personnel’s necessities are equipments and tools to support their
works. We need to purchase some computers to enter the data for earning and
expense. The employees that I am hired need to have some skills and experiences
at least 1 year in their paths. I have planned to extend some goods and services in
the near future. The employees are required to have high responsibility in their
position that can be someone whom others can rely on. My plans for hiring and
training personnel are I need to look at some resumes that are coming into my
office prior to interview them. After I read them carefully, I will choose some
people who fulfill the requirements and have good personality to be my partner of
this business for years and so on. They will be trained for first one month with
some expert trainers to introduce them what kind of job they should work on, how
they will behave themselves flexibility towards the customers and how fast they
should move.
*Application and expected effect of loan (investment):
The loan from the bank that I borrow is to help run and enhance my
business’ reputation and its system more efficient and succeed. Also, this will help
me get rid of short of cash. Those funds will be profitable because with this large
sum of money, I will be able to arrange the lease of the building, afford some
utilities necessary, pay the maintenance and electricity and pay the employees. I
need this money for some period of time to get the assets for my new business.
Nevertheless, I will repay my loan by installment every month.
