Final Reflection on my e-Portfolio Experience I was honored to be invited to participate in the e-Portfolio scholars program. I was introduced during the studio hour of the class CEP 121 to create my own website called ePortfolio that represents my educational goals and achievements at LaGuardia Community College. I learned the computer software called Netscape Composer and was able to create a framework of my e-Portfolio. In addition, during the scholars program, I mastered new technical skills using the computer software called Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. I believe that my acquired skills in creating and designing websites would be very helpful in the future since we are living in a digital world. Creating e-Portfolio I learned to create links, insert and modify pictures and post my assignments. I also improved my creative writing skills while working on my “Welcome” and “About me” pages. I enjoyed the most while searching and inserting the appropriate pictures because I believe that the story of our experiences can be told not only through words but through the pictures as well. The most challenging part was to look back at some of my old assignments and write a reflection. I had to review my assignments and evaluate them critically to conclude how they had impacted my growth and development at the college. The student technology mentors of the class were very helpful. They gave me additional ideas that enhanced the overall look of my e-Portfolio. Finally, when all my work was done I browsed my website again, and saw the reflection of my journey at LaGuardia Community College. I learned a lot about myself and my future plans. I also noticed that all the classes I had taken had directed me towards my future career goals. The overall experience of e-Portfolio scholars program was very enjoyable, constructive, and knowledgeable. If I would have a chance I would like to work further on my e-Portfolio and enhance its contexts with my new experiences.
