Subframe with SFH should have predefined frequency region. Fixed size with being located in the predefined PRUs (or subbands) Data Data SBCH Variable size which is indicated by PBCH. PBCH indicates RA information for SBCH (or data) within a subframe including SFH. SBCH indicates RA information for the following subframes 2 Designs of P- and S-BCH Predetermined size and location for PBCH The size of PBCH should be predefined. [Note : It will be fixed after deciding PBCH contents.] The PRU location of PBCH should be predetermined The PRU location of PBCH should be within the minimum bandwidth (5MHz) irrespective of the total system bandwidth. Variable size and location for SBCH The size of SBCH can be variable. The location of SBCH is within the minimum bandwidth (5MHz) Supporting for MSs with 5MHz system BW Enhancing BCH performance/coverage through SCH channel estimation aid 3 Subcarrier to Resource Mapping Rule Assumptions The fixed size of PBCH Predetermined location of PBCH PBCH indicate size of SBCH within limited 5MHz BW Physical Domain The total banwidth of 10MHz Logical Domain The minimum bandwidth of 5MHz Apply the same permutation rule in DL PHY structure with 5MHz BW PBCH: Fixed size SBCH: Variable size indicated by PBCH For data, apply the same permutation rule in DL PHY structure Only Data resources Data: Variable size One frequency partition Frequency partitions depending on system BW 4 Subcarrier to Resource Mapping Rule (cont’d) There are two permutation process in subframe including SFH Permutation related to BCH BW The PRUs within physically contiguous 5MHz BW are selected for resource allocation of the PBCH and SBCH (or data). The sub-band partitioning process is omitted in this process. The selected PRUs are permuted based on the mini-band granularity. The permutation rule is defined in the DL PHY section 11.5.x. There is only miniband based permutation. Finally, the subcarrier permutation (tone-pair wise) can be applied. Permutation related to the remaining system BW For the remaining system BW in the subframe with SFH, the same permutation rule defined in DL PHY section 11.5.x is applied, excluding the predefined 5MHz BW. 5 Summary The subframe with SFH should have predefined frequency region. Considering MSs in initial access stage, the PRU location of PBCH should be within the minimum bandwidth (5MHz) irrespective of the total system bandwidth. The location of SBCH is also within the minimum bandwidth (5MHz). 6 Text Proposal for IEEE 802.16m SDD ============= Start of text proposal for C80216m-08/003r6================ Modify sentences after line 20 of page 92 in 11.7.2.2.5 as following 11.7.2.2.5 Resource allocation The PBCH and SBCH are transmitted in a the predefined frequency partition region. and PRUs of the frequency partition region used for PBCH and SBCH transmission span the available bandwidth for BCH within 5MHz bandwidth. … ================== End of text proposal ============================= 7
