The Instructor’s Perspective
In the summer of 2009,
14 UNC students and 1
professor traveled to
Barcelona, Spain, to
live and learn in and
about another culture.
Given the “living skills”
nature of the course,
the instructor made
all travel and tour
arrangements.

The Six Week Summer Session
The class met for two
weeks at their
university’s satellite
campus (Loveland, CO),
then traveled to
Barcelona for three
weeks.
They returned stateside
for the final week of
the course to reflect
and finish assignments.
