Mark Klerer has been active in the development of communications and technology standards for over twenty five years. He has chaired numerous committees that have successfully produced industry accepted standards. In addition Mark has participated in IEEE 802 for over five years where, at various times, he has served as chair, vice chair and editor. Mark Klerer is currently Senior Director of Technology at QUALCOMM Flarion Technologies (QFT). QUALCOMM Flarion Technologies is involved in the design and development of an OFDM wireless network architecture for broadband communications in the cellular environment. Since 2001 I have been involved in IEEE 802. I initiated a tutorial on Mobile Wireless Broadband Access and chaired Study Groups dealing with that technology. I chaired the Executive Committee Study Group on Mobile Broadband Wireless Access. I am currently Vice Chair of 802.20. Prior to joining Flarion, I worked at Bell Laboratories, AT&T, Lucent and Nortel where I was responsible for management of advanced technology standardization efforts, including wireless and optical networking. I have held leadership positions in the EIA, Committee T1, ISO and the ITU were I lead and chaired groups in the development of numerous successful standards. Mark holds a BS in EE from City College of New York (CCNY), an MS in Systems Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Pace University.
