Nature and Purpose of Agency
To help homebound senior citizens throughout northeast queens.
Tasks Available for Students
Visit with homebound citizens. Various tasks available; food shopping for
seniors, case assistance, help with household duties, Meals on Wheels,
transportation, supportive counseling, caregiver support groups, advocacy,
entitlement, and counseling. Senior Citizen Day Care Center.
Time Requirements
Flexible (Prefer one hour commitment per week).
Senior Citizen Day Care Center available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays.
Student Awareness/Special Instructions
Able to place two students at same location/times, etc.
Students must be informed that there is to be NO FOOD and NO FLUIDS given
to any resident at any time. Also, if students are not sure of any situation at
anytime during the visit to reach out to Chris Schneider
